Style by Colour
1 model. 4 locations. 4 outfits.
This series of photographs was my first introduction into fashion photography. I selected and styled four outfits, each based on a colour. These four colours were also reflected in the locations the model was photographed in. Using the locations' layout and surrounding architecture to support each outfit, the shoot was an exploration into how the model can move and interact with each location, capturing each outfit within its own setting.
Zelda : Breath of the Wild
Images Inspired by the Game
These six images were inspired the Nintendo Switch game 'The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild'. I created two still lifes, two landscapes and two portraits - all photographs taken by myself and edited in Photoshop.
I wanted to focus on a few visual motifs depicted throughout the video game: such as light and dark, and the two colours blue and orange which feature in several important events/items in the game. Two repeated visuals shown in the six images link (pardon the pun) them all together: blue light streaks that mimic the visual of Link turning into blue light as he teleports, and fairy-like light particles that convey fireflies and fantasy.

A few of these images were then applied to more commercial settings: event posters and tickets for an escape room, t-shirt designs, postcards and a magazine. The text in the magazine is a written piece in the form of journal-styled entries, told from Link's perspective as he goes along his journey through the game whilst also remembering what happened 100 years ago.
